Cafè Love

If any of us would want to take a dog along to Canada, I think no one would protest.
There are so many dogs here, roaming around in groups. They are not aggressive or violent to people or the students. They seem to share attributes - brown middle size dogs, most are quite skinny and all seem very hungry!

Thursday morning, October 22, a very foggy day, the sun coming up over the bay, we awaken to the sound of bells chiming, dogs barking, and the humidity is already quite heavy in the air.
A new day of opportunity under Gods' grace.
By now we have a good routine going, we enjoy breakfast and then leave for school at the same time of day. Recognizing the speedbumps and although still being shaken it serves to make us quite alert by the time we arrive at school.
As we unload and fall out of the van...causing smiling faces all around and a team that is ready again!
The theme of this week is Thanksgiving and Anky, tells the kids a thanksgiving bible story. It is about the Shunammite women, who receives her son twice by the hand of the Lord.
A song of thanksgiving is also taught. The kids remain attentive and listen well, despite the sound of tiles being cut in the hall. Mark and Dave were able to enjoy opening devos with the older grades, singing songs and performing the actions although much care and attention needs to be made for the location of ceiling fans...Mr Gongera - vice principal, then invited Mark and Dave to say a few words, Mark proceeded to speak about Cafè Love... Calm before the Father; Accepted in the Son; Freely given the Spirit; Endowed with gifts - to be used enveloped in Love, by grace. Dave spoke about singing with all our hearts...to praise and glorify Him with all that we do.

We accomplished our goal of completely the installation of the tiles in one classroom and the hallway, so very blessed to be able add on to our work production! Plans are made to tackle one more smaller classroom as well. Tired, but grateful we drive "home".

Supper and devos were enjoyed outside on the patio. A calm falls over Corozal, the sounds of Amazing Grace filled the neighborhood as we closed the day...

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!!!
