The Chipolopolo HANDS team is very excited as the time is near for us to be going to Zambia!! We have a unique team put together of all different ages. Some of us have been to Zambia before, and for the rest of us it will be a new experience!
Our team will be the first of three teams to be working at Mwase Day High School on a 4 classroom block. Philip and Janice were inspired to put this team together when they visited this school in 2012 and saw the piles of bricks laying there waiting to be made into a building. The team has worked hard in fundraising for this project and now we have just one more meeting to make the final preparations for our trip!
We have also been working on preparing ourseleves mentally and spiritually for this trip by learning about Zambian culture, learning about why God calls us to serve in missions, and practicing cultural sensitivity. We are prepared to go with open minds and a servants' heart as we go to work along side the local people in Zambia on this building project.
We would like to thank those who have supported us financially in our fundraisers. We have a great church community and families behind us and we ask for your continued prayers while we are in Zambia. We hope to make some more blog posts from the guest house in Lundazi if the internet and power cooperates with us.
