Visit to Kabinda Day High School and Mpamba Basic School and more work!

This morning we visited a local secondary school named Kabinda, spent some time visiting the students, and the head master; we were introduced to him and explained to him what we were doing at Mwase. We also had a tour of the school property.

This school has a building that Phil actually was a part of building when he first came in 2010. Kabinda has a new science lab that is still in construction but is ALMOST finished and they are quite looking forward to using it!  After we visited the secondary school we walked down the street a little bit and visited a primary school. We were all swarmed by all the little children had lots of picture opportunities and talked to a huge majority of the children and found out what grades they were in, their names, and just anything that came to mind.  All the children were extremely happy to see all of us “muzungu” (white people).  They love to have their pictures taken and then being able to see it on the cameras, they love it so much at times they get a little violent... and that’s when we decide it’s time to walk to the next group of people.  Once we left the schools we walked back to the guest house grabbed our bags and were on our way to Mwase to do some more work at the project site. It was another warm day and we were kept nice and busy, and got quite a bit done! When we left the work site the sun was setting and we got to see another beautiful Zambian sunset. We got home and cleaned up and sat down as a group and had another lovely dinner, did our devotions that were ran by Sarah and then we all settled down for another good night’s rest, looking forward to what’s to come tomorrow.
