Today was very similar to yesterday- schedule wise and work wise: more digging, more tying of rebar. Good progress has been made. Extra help seems to keep showing up! Today the pastor and a friend, and even a couple of other teachers worked along side of us. Peter told us that what we accomplished today he had hoped to have done by tomorrow. Yeah team!
The principal took many of us for a tour of the school where we were warmly welcomed by each class. Amazing to see the small, simply equipped classrooms. A library will be a real blessing to this school.
The children are very excited because they think that Jason is a famous wrestler that they have seen on TV! They can’t believe that he has come to visit them!
Harvey has been getting Spanish lessons from the principal’s daughter! With her tutoring, he now can count to 4. He needs remedial help for 5 and 6!
Tonight Steve Holtrup of World Renew did a presentation on the history of Nicaragua, theNehemiahCenter and also explained World Renew’s function in the country. It was very informative, and gave us food for thought during our devotions this evening.
