Singing and a school visit

-After breakfast we went to the local church in the compound for the 8:30 English service

-We sang in front of the church, a few either read a verse, prayed, or introduced the group and what we were doing with Edu Deo

-There was a brief break between the English service and the Tumbuka service which was at 10:30

-There were many different groups that sang and it was very interesting to hear

-After our song and group introduction with Philemon translating (which the congregation found hilarious since we’re all kinda related) we headed back to the guest house

-Amanda, Jodie, and Rebecca helped prep supper and we learnt how to make the delicious tomato sauce

-After lunch we headed off to Mawase school where a previous HANDS team had built a similar classroom floor plan

-It looked really good and it was great to see the finished product – the school will be used in January

-After a pop and cookies we drove back to the guest house

-One last night of playing with the kids was a lot of fun – the swing, soccer, and singing are always a hit with them.

-We had supper – showers – devotions

-It is very bittersweet to have our last night here, it definitely has been an unforgettable trip
