Day 3
“Blessed be the Name of Name of the Lord” is the song we as a team sang in the two church services we attended today. There is an English service and a worship service in Tumbuka.
The team enjoyed the singing immensely. There is no need for instruments or a microphone because there is much power and harmony in their voices. Our singing did not compare but we said that we were a newly formed choir just come together to sing in Zambia. The congregation became very excited when we greeted them in Tumbuka, by saying “monile monse”; which means greetings to all.
In the afternoon we were able to enjoy some nature by sitting outside by a place called the Castle Hotel. It is designed to look like a castle, which makes it a unique site in the small town of Lundazi. Philemon led us in bible study during this time outdoors. He reminded us of the salvation that has been granted to us and we were able to learn more about one another’s faith lives.
