The Tale of Two Houses

A few of the members on this team were also part of the HANDS Team Niagara in 2008. We had the priviledge of visiting the House of Hope in Managua - a wonderful evangelistic outreach that ministers to prostitutes. Literally hundreds of women and girls (some as young as eight) have been changed by the love of the Lord through the House of Hope outreach.
These women have come to know Christ and a valiant group has made a stand to stop working the streets and attempt to support their families by various means, such as peddling candy and trinkets or doing laundry and ironing.
After our visit in 2008, when we got back in the van there was complete silence, not a dry eye.
Now after some email exchanges (thanks Aleida!), we are planning on going back for a visit this year. This time we will have some suitcases fi
lled with supplies for them.
(8 weeks to go!)

Right now, back at home, we are working on fixing up a rental home (big job!). We've decided that whatever funds we raise we will also donate to the House of Hope.
So in a sense we are already serving.
- working on a 'house of hope' for the House of Hope ♥ :)

John 8:11
“Then neither do I condemn you,”
Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
