Sorry for the delay with our last blogs, but here they are!

We started our day visiting a local Health Clinic then to the hospital.  We walked through the children’s ward then onto the maternity ward.  We were able to see lots of babies that had just been born and 2 sets of twins.  If you think Canada has a shortage of doctors, think again!  They have 1 doctor for every 100,000 people in Zambia.  So in short, that means they have around 135 doctors for all of Zambia.  That’s crazy!

So then we were off to Mwasa again for work.  Since our transportation died the day before we needed new transportation.  Well, we didn’t get a bus that’s for sure.  We had a 12 passenger van for 18 of us!  That was NOT fun.  It was cramped and hot.  But at least our 45 minute drive went down to 35 minutes.  That’s us!  Always looking at the positive!  We finally got a new job at the worksite today.  They use up the broken bricks to lay as the flooring  and pour concrete over top.  So we laid down the bricks in a jigsaw puzzle format for the rest of the day.
