Let's See The Wildlife!

Today we travel to South Luongwe National Park, about a 5hr drive. We also made sure to pack some supplies to drop off at a few locations on the way. When most travel is done by walking you try to take advantage of the transportation and routes you take! After arriving and what felt like an even hotter area, we relaxed by a pool with cool drinks (the other African staple Orange Fanta and Coke!) onlooking a dried up river with some wild life like impalas, birds and warthogs. Near the rooms we stayed and where we ate we have some beautiful, amazing visitors, which made it difficult to concentrate on the few things we were doing. We had giraffes, elephants, monkeys, warthogs, and mere African cats (meerkats!) We had an amazing buffet supper prepared for us that included pork, chicken, potatoes, cauliflower and cheese, green beans and carrots, rice and of course the African staple, shima! The weather at this side, we were sure was 10 degrees hotter! We thought it was hot in Lundazi, it was “Super Duper” HOT at the park, therefore a restless sleep of trying to keep cool. But need some rest as our tour starts at 530am!!
