Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus
Today was the day to put our daily verse to the test. As we began our day, several of us were feeling green with touch of stomach flu. But God brought us together and allowed us all to help in some way so that the task of pouring the concrete floor was successful. Yes, it is done! This was a very exciting day for the school and the community as they will soon have access to more classrooms. Thank you to all of the previous teams who have made this day possible – it was your hard work that prepared the floor for concrete. Our short day was not so short, but rather a long day of thanksgiving toward the prize of Christian education here in Belize.
Tomorrow we will be driving to a local village to join our site manager and his family to worship God in his home church near Orange Walk. We are so happy to work under the guidance of these capable men: Manuel, Luciano, Eduardo, and Omerson. It was a special moment when Manuel gathered all of the workers, including the concrete truck operators, to pray for God’s blessing before beginning today’s work.
Special greetings to the Vissers and Sennemas - you would be so proud of Joey - working so hard, and she replaced two wooden steps in playground ladder to keep the kids safe!
