Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:4,5)
It is great to be a part of the ministry that is happening here in Belize. Pastor Ernest and his wife, Carolyn, are humble servants who live out an incarnational ministry: they imitate the attitude of Christ, they are so positive and intentional in their relationships with us and with the people in their community.
Our first full day on the job site was hot! Several team members were busy on the roof securing the re-bar, laying the conduit, and preparing for the pouring of the next concrete floor. While the sun was intense, God did send clouds and a cool ocean breeze for those up on the roof. And regardless of the jobsite duties, there is always time to play with and help the students there. There are plenty of hugs to go around!
(A special hello to the whole DeVries family – Nanna and Pake are doing great!)
