Sunday was the first day we got to sleep in. Unfortunately, some of us forgot about the time change and woke up an hour earlier than we had planned. We had a breakfast of eggs and toast served to us by the hotel and headed off to church with Albert's son, Jeremy in Corozal. The church service started off in Spanish with some singing, and then switched in between English and Spanish for the sermon. In Belize, the first church service is called "Sunday
school" and is like an interactive lesson on the shorter catechism. It was a great experience to meet with others that share our faith.
We returned to our hotel for a while before we met up with Mr Zantingh and his wife who took us to one of the restaurants along the water. We enjoyed a nice lunch and fellowship (along with birthday cake for Andrea's birthday) before returning to our hotel to relax for a while before we met up with them again to go to their church in Patchakan. We sat through a (mosquito filled..) service, followed by a light supper at the church.
What a wonderful day of worship with our Belizian brothers and sisters!
