Arrival Day

Fron Central Alberta to  Nicaragua in two days, from -32 to +32. We are a team from Woodynook with add ons from Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. We have 6 rookies who are experiencing the HANDS Team for the first time and an additional 3 who have been on a HANDS Team before but are in Nicaragua for the first time, along with 4 more who have been to Nicaragua on HANDS Team before. After two days of travel, numerous security checks, It was good to finally arrive and see Lester's, and Pete & Trudy happy faces at the airport. We all enjoyed a great lunch and then arived at The Nehemiah Center where we setled in and attended our orientation meeting led by Lester and Nilda.

The events of last fall in Nicaragua have settled down, but the affects have slowed the economy. There are many people glad to see the teams returning. The work starts in the morning. Throughout these travel days we seen  God's guiding hand, kepping us safe, making our trip wonderfully uneventful.
