We arrived safely yesterday after a long day of travelling. We experienced a little bit of culture shock on our drive to Campamento Buenas Nuevas (where we are staying) — it feels a lot like an intense game of Mario Kart!
We made ourselves at home and were treated to a lovely meal of spaghetti for dinner.
Shortly after dinner we headed to bed, it was a long day of travelling.
This morning we woke up to the sound of an odd trumpet, ate some breakfast and off we went to the worksite.
Our project for the week is repainting the outside of the school. Today we worked at scraping off the old paint to make it smooth so that tomorrow it will be ready for a coat of primer.
After work we were hot and gross, so in our free time we took a dip in the pool!
Soon after, we had a delicious meal; chicken, salad and yuca (a potato-like plant).
We’re thankful to God for bringing us here safely, and pray that he continues to bless us during our stay.
