Day Four

Heyyyy!!

Today, we actually got up at 6:50! This means that we could make it to breakfast in time, albeit in our pj's :) Breakfast was delicous! We then had muchas tempas to get ready for church, even time for the boys to do their hair and makeup (as Billy says).

We walked all of five minutes to church, a Christian Reformed one in town. We sat down and sang along with really loud music; the people sang very enthusiastically. It was hard for us to sing (cantata) so we followed along with the lyrics provided. We clapped and swayed with Billy and the others. The women stood as they were prayed for. (We girls stood as well!)

The message was about the stewardship of our bodies as temples of Christ. The minister took time out of his sermon to summarize his points for us so we could understand. We really felt a part of the communion of saints.

Back at the Ministry Centre, we changed from our classy Sunday attire and had hotdogs and patatas (NOT potatoes) for lunch and then had Spanish lessons with Billy as Mallory and Rachel washed the platos, vasos y forks and knives.

Then the chicas (girls) went exploring and found the ladder to the roof, where we looked around, came back down, found the chicos (boys) y sunscreen y went back up to enjoy the refreshing breeze and warm sunshine. Then we chilled until devos at 3:00, where we talked about prayer and relationships.

Tonight, the boys are planning to climb trees and get coconuts. Right now, we're relaxed and hanging out, eating Wine Gums and blogging.

We also plan to go hang out with Billy!! (for ice cream, with the chicos too).

We're excited to head back to the jobsite tomorrow and make some real progress with three steady days of work!

We'll include some pictures from the last couple of days: the beach, the market, the ministry, etc.

Please pray for Thomas as he is just a little under the weather, but we're hoping he'll be alright for tomorrow. It's probably from the beach yesterday.

Buenos Tardes!

Love the Chicas
