Finding our Way

Day three of our trip is now over and in many ways our team is really finding its way.  While there was an eerie silence in our van when we arrived at our guest house in very unfamiliar Matagalpa, that silence was a distant memory around our deafening dinner table this evening.

Since it is the rainy season here, all work is slow and incredibly muddy.  We have met excellent people at the Nicaragua Christian Academy and we have been awed by the sights and sounds of Nicaraguan culture.  Tomorrow we take a small break from our work and travel up into the mountains to visit 'very rural' Nicaragua and get a sense of life at high altitudes.  Then we get back to work on Saturday, painting and digging.

We have been blessed with excellent health, company and spirits and we pray for all of those good things to continue.
