Reflection

The days seem to have flown by since we arrived back in Canada and began reacclimatizing ourselves to the much cooler Canadian weather. Reconnecting with our friends and family and sharing our experiences with them has been exciting and hectic at the same time. For team members finding work and getting ready to start summer jobs has left us all with little time to dwell on what we left behind in Ghana. When I do take a moment to look back and reflect I think of all the connections we made with the people there and with each other. I think of all the work that has been completed on the school since Professor Ashun first began her project and the role we played.

It is amazing when I look back at how far this team has come since our first team meeting, we first came together as a gathering of individuals and how as we boarded that plane to leave Ghana we left as a team. The path we traveled wasn’t easy, there were times of doubt and worry while we fundraised and planned, but we kept faith in God’s plan for us and everything came together.

The trip is past now and all we have left are the memories, and a ton of photos, to remember it by. I think that it is safe to say that we will never forget what we experienced on this trip and that what we have learned. I would like to thank everyone for the support and interest they showed in our trip and for helping to make it a reality. While there were only ten of us who traveled to Ghana in person there were many more who were with us in spirit. Let me say one last and final time THANK YOU for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

If anyone serves, they should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen
