Why are we in Belize at all?

Today was filled with great events!  Sion, Amber, Julia, and Sydney were all able to join us today.  They met us in the afternoon at Presbyterian Day School in Cristo Rey where the rest of us were assessing the job site.  The entire team has arrived safe and sound in Belize.

Janine and Colleen helped out in the classrooms interacting with teachers and students.  Ed, Chuck, Cor, Jon and Steve got started on installing windows.  Sion and Chuck planned out some potential electrical work.

This evenings devotions were led by Sion and the focus was on faith and works an how this applies to our work in Belize.  We are called to live out our faith, not just say we believe in Jesus.  Certainly not every Christian is called to be in Belize for 10 days, but we have been.  May our time in Belize become an important part of our faith story.  May it lead to many opportunities to share our faith throughout the rest of our time here, and when we return to Canada.

We know that each team member has several people praying for us.  We are very thankful for your continued prayer support; here are prayer items:

- Continued praise for God and his awesomeness

- Thankfulness that Sion, Sydney, Amber, and Julia have joined us safe and sound

- Thankfulness that we were all kept safe on the job site today

- Requesting continued health and safety

- Requesting future ministry opportunities

- Requesting wisdom and patience in all of our interactions here in Belize
