We were all up at 8 am for a tasty breakfast followed by orientation. Once everyone was ready to go we left home and went to the jobsite at Batey Mujara. The principal there introduced us to the school and it's background and the area it's in and then we went to work. We met a few of the workers: Jose, Domingo and Jeffe. It was a fairly easy day of work since we were just figuring out the routine of doing things with the locals who we are working with. Some of us laid down cement blocks for the foundation and others did the pointing with mortar. About halfway through the day we started an assembly line to carry buckets of concrete to the holes we needed to fill which was a great success. Once it came 4 pm we were done for the day and headed back home. We all took a refreshing shower and headed down to the kitchen for supper. At around 7:30 we went grocery shopping with Franklin (our translator) and his daughter Chesley and picked up some tasty treats (some more familiar Canadian foods :P). Once we got home we did devotions together and then just hung out in the living room till everyone was ready to hit the hay.
