...And so it Begins

Hi everyone!

We started out our day at Ruth and Mario's home, where they served us a delicious breakfast.  After acquainting ourselves with the school, we got straight to work.  We split up into four groups, doing a variety of jobs from cleaning out a classroom to electrical work to plastering a wall in a stairwell.  We're all learning new skills this week as well as applying previous knowledge to the work we're all performing.

Kyle has his work cut out for him this week installing electrical fixtures and trying to figure out the circuitry at the school.  Pastor Hoogland and Andrew have already learned how to mix and apply plaster.  We'll continue to learn our tasks this week and use our abilities to enable New Life Christian School in promoting Christian education.

We ended our day by taking a stroll through the town of Orange Walk, and capped off the night with team devotions and supper.  We're looking forward to another day at the school, using our gifts for the improvement of New Life Christian School.

Thank you for all your support so far!
