Work!

Last night we met our hosts, Pete and Trudy Kuipers who hail from Lacombe Alberta.
We knew right away that we would get along great!

We drove to the job site at 7:30 am. The children from the school had a beautiful
welcome program for us. The weather in Managua can be described in 3 words
- HOT, HOT, HOT!

We spent the day tying rebar and some of us dug holes for the foundation. Gord and
Andy managed to dig all day in the hot sun! Of course they had shade from a tree...
The cold showers and a delicious meal prepared for us by the ladies at the Nehemiah
Centre were very welcomed.

A nice surprise for some of us was that we would be working under a constuction team
lead by Jaime - a fellow we had worked under in Esteli 5 years ago.

A great day :)
