Two years of planning, hoping, praying...and it's here at last! The night before...
and a number of emails back and forth all mentioning the word 'pumped' with a
discussion about who snores and who doesn't :)
We will be working at Escuela Cristiana Gamaliel in Managua, Nicaragua. Escuela Cristiana Gamaliel has become well known in the community for its sincere commitment among the staff and leadership to quality Christ-centered education.
Recently, land adjacent to the primary school was purchased, and the school has received a permit to operate a high school. The plan is to offer the whole of five high school grades, accommodating the grades in two shifts per day in the new 1st stage project facilities.
They would start work at the site on January 9th, and we will be starting on the 15th.
We were told that we will be:
-demolishing the current buildings on the property
-digging holes/trenches for the foundation to be laid
-shifting stone through mesh to create sand
-tying re-bar
We are looking forward to this adventure and are ready to serve!
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.
