Rain Rain Go Away Come Back When We Are in Canada

Plan--Go on a boat tour of the Lamanai River and Mayan Ruins.

Left at 0800 hrs our time..did you know it was 0900 hrs Belizean time?

But it was raining. Raining hard yet too.

Well we made it to the Lamanai River Boat Tour.  That was one rainy, windy, and wet ride.....Soaked to our skin--some of us became. For the rest of the day....ohh boy!!

We stretched our muscles by climbing a few Mayan Ruins---the Jaguar Temple and the High Temple, which was 100 ft high. It was high!!  Right guys??  all 9 of us who climbed it. The view was great.

Our tour guide has done this tour for 15 yrs. He was full of knowledge. We became educated in the Mayan culture of years past.  They think it could have taken 60-70 yrs to build one of the Temples. Only men. Remember, no horses, buggies, etc.

Lunch was provided. Rice and beans, chicken, coleslaw, bananas, and coke to drink. We were hoping the sun would come out, but alas, it did not. A few trinkets to look at and buy if we chose.

Then the 25 mile boat ride back--hang on...hold on...stay dry...NOT!!

Supper provided, devotions and songs of praise and worship completed. Our spirits lifted.

God is Good                                                                                All the Time
