getting settled

Dear friends, family and supporters,

Today is day 3 of our time here in Ghana, and I am happy to report that we are settling in well.   When we arrived here on Saturday afternoon, we were greeted by Amanda - a Redeemer College intern student teacher who is working at His Majesty’s Christian School for the next three months.

On Sunday we attended the Pentecost church nearby, and were blessed to be able to participate in a communion service.   We truly felt the Spirit moving as we worshipped with our brothers and sisters here in this part of the world.

On our first two days on the job site we have been adjusting to the heat, and working conditions, and we are confident that the next two weeks will be very productive.    The building of the second phase of the school is off to a great start, and we should see the walls begin to emerge from the footings within the next couple of days.     Today we also had an opportunity to play with the kids, which was fun.

Arriving here again has been a rich blessing, and as we were re-united with some of the people who worked and worshipped with us when we were here two years ago.    It has truly been a joy to return to this community, and to be able to be a part of this project.

Please continue to pray for the team.   Please pray for safety on the job site, and that we may be equipped with servant hearts as we interact with those around us, and share the love of Him who sent us.

Peace and blessings,

John Blaauwendraat
