29 days and counting

Our team of 12 will be leaving in 28.5 days to serve in Leon, Nicaragua! The past months have been a busy time of fundraising and team building. The support we have received from our church family and extended community has been awesome!

Our fundraising has been very diverse: from picking soy beans out of white beans, leaf raking, an auction, a cookbook, baking, and selling cheese. We have been so blessed as we exceeded our goal and can now focus on the logistics of our trip.

Three of our team members look forward to returning to the Managua area and seeing the developments since the last trip in 2011. The other members of the team will be going to Nicaragua for the first time and are excited for this new way of service in God's Kingdom. Five of our young people are going along on this trip and are eager to experience another culture together.

We are asking for continued prayer support as we prepare over these next four weeks to leave Canada.

Keep posted as we add to this blog in the weeks to come!
