Sore Muscles

So, the third day is complete. This one was a bit harder than yesterday, the sun hotter and our muscles more sore than yesterday. But we made it. We continued on with what we were working on yesterday with moving sand and concrete upstairs. The piers supporting the third floor were taken down, the concrete being dry enough and all the wood had to be thrown down to the ground.

Today the kids were more rambunctious than yesterday; all trying to help us out with our work. If we let them they would have done all of our work for us! They don’t seem to be afraid of a little hard work; especially if it means getting out of class for a little while. They like to practice their English us, some of the girls are so good they barely have an accent. The kids even let us play basketball with them, it’s their favourite sport to play.

We also are trying to learn more Spanish, some people are better at it than others. But at least we know the word ‘Gracias’, as there is much to be thankful for. Wonderful food is prepared for us every day, breakfast, lunch, and supper. We’ve decided we eat better here than at home, there is so much! God has definitely provided for us while we have been here, and he will continue to do so for the rest of the trip and when we return home. We just need to remember to walk by Faith and not by sight.
