Thursday

Today was our final work day at the school.  In the morning, a frew guys stripped the forms off the slab which we poured yesterday, while others completed parging in the girls bathroom.  Once this was done, we formed the lintel or header abve the girls bathroom stalls, then poured that concrete in the afternoon.

In the late morning, we all headed over to the church, located right beside the school, where we had a ceremony where the students and teachers of the school said thank you to us for the work we did.  All the kids were sitting in the pews of the church and we were standing at the front. One by one they all came up in a line and each student handed one of us a hand made thank you card and gave us a hug.  One of the teachers also sang a solo song, and the kids all sang songs for us as well.  Mrs. Betson (the Pastors wife and the schools principal) gave a speech as well.

Tonight we went to a restaurant called "Birds Isle" for dinner.
