Our team is very excited to participate in this HANDS Mission trip!
We will spend time helping with a second story classroom expansion at Bautista Emanuel school in Diriamba, Nicaragua.
The team has already met a couple of times and there has been a lot of email exchanges as we prepare for the trip.
The team's preparations for this HANDS trip have included reading the book entitled, The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne. It has been challenging us how to live out our Christian beliefs. We have also been going through some cultural scenarios to help us become more culturally sensitive to the ways of the Nicaraguan people we will meet.
Our prayers are that the team will be used by God to be a blessing to the community of Diriamba, Nicaragua and that each team member will grow closer to God through this experience. It is also our hope and prayer to learn from the people that we meet and work with in Nicaragua. We ask you to join us in these prayers.
