Ready, Set...

Here we are, we can finally now say, “next week we will be in the Dominican Republic!” After many fundraisers and planning, it's time to go! These past few weeks we have all been busy with Christmas celebrations with friends and family. Now, we have switched gears into packing and final preparations for our long-awaited mission trip. Shorts, sunscreen, sunglasses, and t-shirts are in our suitcases and we are almost ready to go! We are going as a group of friends all coming from similar and familiar backgrounds. We are curious as to what awaits us upon our arrival in the D.R. What will it be like there? How will we react to the conditions of living for the people we meet there? What will the food be like? We ask these questions while knowing that we have been well prepared for this and that we are in this together! We have bonded leading up to our trip and we will continue to be there for each other while in the D.R. As we travel and do the work that has been set out for us, please continue to uphold us in your daily prayers. It’s our plan to blog daily while we are in the Dominican, so stay tuned! Till next time...
