Making progress....

Another hot day of work has arrived.  Today has once again started with a quick breakfast followed by another bus ride to the school.  You can't help but be reminded of the vast cultural differences evertime you travel down the streets of this beautiful country (Pictured). This being saturday, there were no kids at the school, but the principal spent the day there with us along with the local contractor.  Out of this arose an awesome opportunity to connect with the principal and pray a blessing over her.

Today we began with some picking and shovelling to level some land around the outside of the walls.  Then we got back to laying blocks.  Working as two teams on the two different classrooms we made some good progress today, however building these walls really puts into perspective the amazing progress that Nehimiah and his workers made while rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem.  God provided us with relief from the sun with some intermittent cloud cover.  Every time there is a cloud I can't help but think of Jonah and how God grew a plant to cool his head from the hot sun.  Everyone seems to be happy and thankful everytime there is a cloud.

At the end of the day one of the school workers was gracious enough to let us experience a little more of the local culture by picking some fresh coconuts (pictured)  Everyone enjoyed the fresh coconut water after another day in the hot sun!

Praise God once again for this opportunity to serve such a beautiful people!
