Day 7

We had another good day in Belize in the town of Orange Walk. Ruth told us last week that there would be an Education Officer that would be visiting the school to see if the school qualifies for funding for another teacher. Ruth has had many visits from her before so she knew what would be happening on the visit but she was still nervous for the visit and requested that we pray for the funding. The meeting went well and the school got the funding from the government for the teacher. It was also another busy day on the work front with the bathroom doors being finished and the concrete work on the third floor continuing with Paul, Allen, John, Ed and Brian providing the manpower and some local help from Liguardo and Emmanuel. Bev and Michelle started painting a room that will be used as a classroom and Wilson was busy with more electrical work.

Liguardo who is helping with the concrete work is also a pastor and he spoke on Sunday in both Spanish and English and it was excellent and he was expecting to have an exam for his ordination today but he said he got a call on Sunday and it got postponed until the next Monday. Pray for him that it will go well because the exam is in english and it is not his first language.
