Saying Goodbye

Wyoming HANDS Team:

Today was our last day in Belize. It was, for many of us, bittersweet. After many days working, playing, and just spending time at the school, it was time to leave... We had to say adios to the many students we had befriended. It wasn’t made easier by them telling us over and over ‘I will miss you when you’re gone...’

Despite the fact that this day was sad, we were still able to have a lot of fun. Grace was taken aback when she walked in on the surprise party her class threw for her. Our entire team was caught off guard when the staff gave us each gifts. And, we still had the afternoon to play with the kids.

Despite our sadness at leaving Orange Walk, we are all looking forward to seeing our family and friends again! We will be leaving our hotel tomorrow at ten, and our flight should be leaving at about three o’clock.

Love from,

The Hands Team
