We are in the last leg of our journey home now.  We're hoping we can reach Toronto before midnight because if we don't we will have to land in Detroit and stay the night there with no suitcases!  Let's hope for the best.

Sunday in Belize 0 comments

Sunday was the first day we got to sleep in. Unfortunately, some of us forgot about the time change and woke up an hour earlier than we had planned. We had a breakfast of eggs and toast served to us by the hotel and headed off to church with Albert's son, Jeremy in Corozal.  The church service started off in Spanish with some singing, and then switched in between English and Spanish for the sermon. In Belize, the first church service is called "Sunday
school" and is like an interactive lesson on the shorter catechism.  It was a great experience to meet with others that share our faith.

Saturday was a blast! We had a day away from painting and enjoyed a boat ride to Lamanai.  Lots of new and interesting animals to see and ruins to explore and photograph.

Getting to know Alfredo and others at Cornerstone 0 comments

Our third day has been quite a success. Both in painting and getting to know the kids better. Rebecca especially enjoys interacting and spending time with the older students. The weather has been extremely nice, and we're thankful for the constant sun and frequent breeze.
