Day 2

Strathroy HANDS Team:

Our theme for today was "I need you, oh Lord how I need you"

After breakfast we were taken back to the school, there's more of the trench to dig. It was very niice to be met by the students with hugs, they even remembered our names

The sun was very hot and it seemed like there were even more rocks in the soil. We were all working shorter shifts and by lunch we were pretty tired.

Then when we went back out there was a nice breeze and some clouds had rolled in. That helped a lot!

We took a break midafternoond to spend time in the two primary classrooms. The younger childrenl eft their desks and the teacher gave up on the lesson. We got them pretty excited with making paper airplanes and drawing pictures.

The older children were working on printing so we got to help with that.

Throughout the day the students randomly came out to visit and to help. They were impressed with those of us who have white hair as they all have very dark hair.

We actually did accomplish a lot of the digging, we can finish tomorrow.

So-we felt very strongly that the Lord did provide just what we needed .

Sounds like a great lesson to learn. Every day we need to recognize how much we need the Lord. Relying on our own strength is never enough. Thanks for reminding us of that.
