My name is Gerrit Verdouw. I live in Saskatoon . I have been a follower of Christ for the last 25 years. And even though i have failed numerous times to be completely devoted to Him, He in His infinite Mercy has never failed me and my family. I grew up around Gouda ,the Netherlands , but immigrated to Canada about 27 years ago. i am married to Karen , and have 3 children ; my oldest daughter just got married this summer , and one daughter who is 19 who just started nursing prgram at U of S , and my youngest son is finishing up Grade 12. We have a couple of businesses, and am honoured that God has allowed me to found and run those companies and especially enjoy our Retail of Solid Wood Furniture Store we are currently majorly renovating. For the last 4 decades i have supported dozens of kids and adults to go on Mission Trips and hear their stories how fulfilling that is for them to make a difference in the lives of others in need, but my friends, family and i felt nudged to finally go myself . I am looking forward to leave Feb 15, 2019 and help the local ministry in Belize with whatever work is needed . At the same time i hear how a person who gives of their time and energy also gets impacted in a positive way by how other live over there with so much less, and seem a lot happier and more thankful than what we feel here but having everything in abundance and it s still not enough in our deluxe society. i ask you to pray for me and our team to bless others and for the Lord s safety and His touching on ours and their lives.
