Another Lovely Day In Belize 0 comments

We began our day with a morning walk into the Corozal downtown to learn more about the history of Corozal and to take in the coastal sites. After our walk we travelled to the Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool, where we took part in a thanksgiving and ribbon cutting service for a new classroom that was built by past HANDS teams. The children sang a few songs and put on a Christmas drama that was so cute to see. We also had our first tastes of rice water – which was delicious and refreshing!

After the ceremony we went back to PDS where we had lunch with the teachers before starting to work. Today we were digging more holes for the rebar columns that we were piecing together yesterday and cleaning up around the school yard. The work was hard and hot, but it made the ice cream that we had this evening that much better.

Tonight, Pastor Pott and a guest or two will be joining us for dinner and to tell us more about the Presbyterian schools which he oversees."  Brad K.
