Managua school project day one

Niagara HANDS Team:

After a long day of travel yesterday we arrived safely in Nicaragua last night. Today we were warmly welcomed by the school principal, the pastors, school children, teachers and some members of the community. Our task this week is to dig fifteen 5 cubic foot holes to support a second floor structure for the school. This will house two classrooms with a cafeteria underneath. It was hard dirty work but we enjoyed beautiful breezes to work in. Rebar stations were set up as well as painting stations for the purlins . It was a wonderful day working with the local labourers building a school together to provide better facilities for the young Nicaraguan kids to receive Christ centered education.

Sounds like its going to be hard work but I'm glad that the weather is cooperating and not too hot.

Praying for your team this week!
