Day of Worship and Celebration

Newmarket HANDS Team:

We were privileged to gather together with the members of the Verbo church in Nicaragua.  This is a city church and is attended by a number of missionary families who are serving in Nicaragua.  The service was being translated into English therefore we were able to understand the message.  The service began with a praise and worship time; many of the songs were familiar to us.  Worshiping with other Christians and hearing how the church here in Mangua is involved in the ministry to the people who live in the dump here in Mangua encouraged and blessed us. We were challenged to think about how we might serve back home.

After church we headed to the ocean.  The water was very warm and the waves were perfect for Sam and Lisa to do some surfing.

We have returned refreshed and tired.  Tomorrow it will be back to the work site.

It was good to be here this weekend and to enjoy the various activities and see more of the country.  We serve a great God!
