The Heavens and Earth declare the Glory of the Lord!

Faith in Action HANDS Team:

Another great day in Nicaragua! We started our day with a beautiful drive through the countryside to a lovely pottery shop in San Juan de Oriente. We had a demonstration on how the pottery is made using local clay. Bill also had a chance to try his hands at pottery making and did very well.  From there we made our way to the Mombacho Mountain area for some zip-lining through incredible tropical forests with large trees and coffee plantations. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch in the city of Grenada and made our way up to the Masaya Volcano. Wow! We were all humbled and in awe of the beauty of God's marvelous creation and the majestic size of the volcano.  It was incredible to see. From there we continued on to Centro de Fe School (Centre of Faith School).  We, as the Canadian team, had been invited to the graduation of the grade 11 class of 14 students. (In Nicaragua students graduate from highschool at grade 11). Ralph and Ruth Veldstra had previously worked at this school on a prior HANDS Team and Ralph closed the evening in prayer.  It was a privilege to witness the strong faith of this community and their love and thankfulness to the Lord for their parents, their teachers and their church community. Tomorrow we look forward to worshipping in a Spanish Church with our fellow Nicaraguans.  Buenos Noches! (Good night!)
