April 16-17

International Block Learning Trip - London & Toronto HANDS Team:

The past few days the International Block group has: gotten up too early (haha), eaten rice and beans, played Spikeball, done construction work at Pena de Horeb, been sick, more recently painted desks, painted chairs, sanded desks, sanded chairs, made parts for desks and chairs, and planned for some Vacation Bible School at a church and a school for tomorrow, Thursday, April 18. Together we have four parts planned music, drama, games, and crafts. It should be a fun day with an appreciation and focus on the Easter story as well as the love God has for each of the kids that our group is privileged to interact with.

Everyone on the trip is having a good time except for that one person (also a joke). We are all getting along together well, and the few scuffles that have occurred seem to have brought the group together more! Today specifically was Worship Wednesday and in our debrief circle time we sang songs together, held hands, and felt a deeper connection to each other and Christ.

On a personal note I have loved these first two weeks and am hopeful for the future of the trip as well as being able to share in person my experiences instead of on Facetime at the mall (haha). My highlight so far was that last night when it rained a few of the bois (that is a joke not bad spelling) went out and sat in it then showered together in their bathing suits! And laughed through it all.

Thank you all for the continued prayer and interest in the trip! All of us here appreciate it and look forward to speaking to you all upon our return! Some things to pray for is the health and safety of our members, the deeper interlace of relationships in our group, the deepening of each of our relationships with God, and for my grandfather who is having some medical issues. Thanks again another update should be coming Friday, April 19 by Sarah Im.

Bathing in the rain is indeed fun. Glad you are enjoying the team and the children you serve. Thanks for the prayer update.

Glad you are feeling better this week. It is good to hear about all the activities you are involved with. We’ll miss you at the table this Easter but that means—more for us! Praying for the Lord’s continued care in your life. Love ya
