April 12-13

International Block Learning Trip - London & Toronto HANDS Team:

April 12

Today we went to a school called Renacer in the morning. We split the group into two, half went to English class, while half went to math. In English we took turns introducing ourselves to the class, saying our name, how many siblings we have, our favorite color, and other things alongside the Dominican students. In the math class they watched a lesson on trigonometry. After that we went to a basketball court to play basketball but some also played volleyball. We left at around lunch time to head back to the base. There was free time for the rest of the day.

April 13

Today we went to the school Pena de Horeb to do a half day of construction work. There were many different jobs done today. We moved bricks, gravel, dirt, and began to level the ground. After that we spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach. We ate lunch on the beach, played volleyball, spike ball, and swam. It was a very fun day.
