I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to join this team. This will be my first time going to Africa(!!!!) and working on a project like this. I have been interested in this experience since Poelman's began going, and this year the timing finally seems right. I was born, raised, and still live on a farm north of Fort Macleod. I have been practicing optometry for the last three years in locations in Fort Macleod and Lethbridge.
