Marvelous Marty and the Sub Par Singers

Hope 1 - Kyndra's Hearts for Zambia HANDS Team:

Sunday, day of rest! I think we all needed it.

We attended the English service at the church close to the compound. We showed off our singing skills lead by the marvelous Marty and his powerful tenor! Then we attended part of the Tumbuku service. We heard six choirs and they made Marty’s tenor sound like a whiney baritone! They sing with amazing power and soul.

We had a terrific lunch! Dorothy, our cook, prepares delish meals for us that include fried chicken, green beans, potatoes (which is only for breakfast here), cabbage, plenty of nshima and the delicious red sauce! After lunch and a little relaxation we headed to a nearby beekeeper. He showed us his hives made from old tree logs and top bar hives. We gifted him with veil and a smoker (which he does use one like it) and he in return gifted us with a tool that he uses to mark where he wants the bees to make the comb. '

Afterwards Moffat (works aside Philemon at CCAP, and our driver) was kind enough to show us his home that he built. Then back to eat and relax before bed again at 9! It was a very good day of worship and relaxation!

Greetings from Nicaragua! We hope and pray that you are all enjoying yourselves in the work that you are doing. We have been having a great experience here in Managua and hope you are experiencing God's blessings in Zambia.
