Tour of Schools

Hamilton HANDS Team:

Today we had the opportunity to tour a few of the COCREF (Christian Reformed Schools of The Dominican Republic Christian School Association) Christian schools.

It was very exciting to see God at work in these schools that have been in existence for a number of years. We met the principals of these schools who explained to us how their schools are doing and giving us a tour of the classrooms where we were introduced to some of the students and teachers. One of the principals explained to us how the COCREF teachers have been trained to incorporate the Christian Worldview in all of their curriculum and the blessing this has been to the teachers and to their students who have been taught this.

The work done by Edudeo teams that worked in The Dominican Republic in years past also was evident through the many students that are utilizing the facilities that they have completed. God had definitely blessed these efforts!

We also went back for a final visit to La Esperanza school that we have been working on. We had the opportunity to say goodbye to the local construction workers that we worked with for the past number of days, the principal, teachers, students, and the people that prepared our lunches. We experienced a wonderful connection with these people! It is great to commune with fellow believers in other parts of the world!

Later in the day we also had a little time to go to the market which was also an interesting experience!

We are thankful to God for another wonderful day!
