Driving in the Dominican Republic.

Guido HANDS Team:

We have a bus driver whose name is Frederick.  He is probably the best bus driver that we know.  Now certainly our bus drivers back home are great, but they have not experienced Dominican driving.  Outside the city there are no traffic lights or stop signs at busy intersections....anywhere.  It is quite literally every vehicle for itself.  Frederick is fearless and quite skilled as he is able to pass trucks on either side with oncoming traffic bearing down on us. He can avoid potholes, chickens, mules, and motorcycles (these are everywhere) with ease all while sharing his favorite Spanish music with us.  Frederick is a kind soul too.  Once he stopped the bus in front of a vendor and bought us some sugar cane to try.

muchas gracias Frederick!   And God bless!
