Wednesday afternoon

Grimsby HANDS Team:

Greetings from Diriamba

Back from the jobsite again.  Another great day with lots of concrete poured.  Everything went well again today, everyone is still healthy and happy.

One of the highlights of the day was when the truck came with gravel and sand for the concrete.  We were taking a break at the time so we didn't see the truck come in.  Harry made some kind of a comment like "At least we don't have to unload the truck".  Well...... that was not entirely accurate.  It turns out that the company has two trucks, one with a dump and one without.... the one with the dump was broken down.  The picture above shows us unloading the truck, one shovel at a time.

We are probably about 80% done pouring the floor now so not too much to do tomorrow.  Once we are done with the concrete, we're going to start sanding and painting the steel that came off of the original roof.

Tonight, after dinner, Consuelo, the school principal is coming for a visit to tell us about her school. We're looking forward to hearing her story.

I'm guessing that it'll probably be an early night again tonight for most of us.

adios for now.
