Last full day in Nicaragua

ClearView HANDS Team:

It's with sadness but thankfulness to God in all his glory that we submit our last blog to everyone before we depart for home in the morning.  We were not able to blog yeasterday as we spent the night in the mountiains with no Internet service.

A very full on but awesome last two days as we travelled up to the mountain communities in Matagalpa and an overnight stay at a coffee plantation medical clinic run by Accion Medica Christiana (AMC). Very thick jungle foliage and narrow winding roads made us feel like real jungle missionaries but waking this morning to beautiful scenery and unheard of sounds made us appreciate the intricacies of God’s creation even more.

As we travelled on further and deeper into the very steep and muddy terrain (after very heavy rains during the night.)we finally reached our destination of a small community in the hills named San Joaquin.  We got to listen to their stories, struggles and hopes.  We learned of their way of life so far up and away from any towns or modern facilities.  We got to play ball with the boys, sit down at their tables and be invited into their humble homes.  Such gentle and God loving people who appreciate all they have and on behalf of all the team touched our hearts deeply.  A testimony to how we have been changed by God and by so many people we have made contact with while here. A long trip back to Managua this afternoon with an interesting stop at a coffee processing plant.  We sampled some coffee and purchased some to bring back home.

After emotional goodbyes to Peter, Trudy and Lester I dare say we will all hit mattresses hard for an early rise and flights home.

Thanks everyone for your prayers.

C ya all on Sunday .
