day 3 of our adventure

Brantford HANDS Team:

Hello fami;y and friends from us to you

So we are on day three here and still so excited to be here serving these great people. We are working at the local school ouring concrete in the classrooms so they can lay a tile floor down how amazing is that!!! So set aside from doing concrete we are also painting things to make them look new again, also we are grinding and sanding old metal beams so the next team that comes after us can put the roof structure up. How awesome is it that we can be part of such an awesome project for these people. Even though we have a language barrier we all seem to communicate enough to be able to work together we laugh do high fives and alot of just smiling at each other, they say smiles can be addictive so i geuss thats a good thing. Anyways we dont always just work we also have fun, there has been some baseball going on with the locals and they have allowed us to join in which is totally awesome, although they seem to use Eric for there main batter, its probly cause he can hit the ball really well here.(we are wondering why he cant hit the ball that good when he plays for the hope team). We have also done some touring around the area to see the different houses and streets, we visit the local grocery to buy snacks and gatorade. It must look pretty different seeing 12 white guys most of them over6 feet come in to the store at one time, mind we are 12 GOOD LOOKING GUYS!! Anyway we will try and continue to keep you filled in with whats going on, if you have any questions or comments feel free to comment, God bless

Hello to you 12 good looking guys- Aart's words not mine....glad to hear that you are all having a good time enjoying your work, baseball and most of all....the heat....something we are sadly lacking in this part of the world right now...but it's nice and warm in my office here at the church....

I'm sure your families are missing you all but thank you for taking the time to make a difference in Nicaragua. Our prayers are with you all.....

Sounds like you are having a great time. There is a saying; work and pray. Sounds like you added another item, work, pray and have fun. Good going. I am sure that the Lord delights in fun, after all he created it.
