About Me

Team Bramalea 2015 (My Team)

My "day job" involves a lot of sitting at a desk in front of a computer, so I've always found working with my hands to be a really enjoyable contrast to that. My dad was always working on some project at home, or volunteering at camp as a handy-man and I was very fortunate that he always allowed me to work beside him and taught me how to do the things that he could do. Being part of this HANDS team (my third) is the perfect opportunity to put those practical skills to good use, to serve and help others and to see God at work in His world through a cross-cultural lense. The work that is going on at New Life Christian School is so important for the children of Orange Walk and by extension for the whole community and it is true privilege and blessing to be a small part of that. I'm very much looking forward to being back there to complete some of the projects that we started previously and enjoy great fellowship with Ruth and Mario Ku and the rest of the team and students of New Life. I'm also excited to see how God will grow me through this experience in order to prepare me for whatever comes next.
