Day 4: Work Day 3

Barrie HANDS Team:

Today was another productive day! We started the day off by talking with the grade 5/6 class. They sang to us, and we sang "Days of Elijah" with them, they were very excited to learn the actions.

Today's work was similar to the previous two days, and we continued to be productive. We were so productive that we were able to take a break to tour two nearby Christian schools. It was great to see how many students were at both schools, and we were warmly welcomed by everyone. Almost every class sang us a song, and it was great to see the Spirit of God within them. It was extremely evident that the students do not take their education for granted, and it truly has been an eyeopener to us.

We have been very well fed by two local woman, and they never cease to amaze us. We have enjoyed a variety of different Belizean dishes. We are thankful that they have been able to keep up with thirteen hungry people.

On our way from the school to the hotel Jacco had the oppurtunity to drive the school bus for part of the way. We are happy that Jacco was able to avoid (for the most part) all of the potholes and speed bumps.

We have made many great memories already, and we look forward to what the rest of the trip has in store for us. We ask that you continue to pray for our helath and safety. Your comments are greatly appreciated!

Great job everyone. How exciting for you all to get to visit some schools. Such a blessing to get to spend some time with the children there. I know you have touched their lives in many ways. As I'm sure they have touched yours. God is good. Praying for your health and safety.

Praise God! God is good... all the time :) Great to hear you're getting to know the students there and how much they treasure learning about our Father's world (potholes and all). We'll pray for you this Sunday, with thanks for answered prayers thus far! ps. keep those crackers coming, eh Mitch?
